To Be or Not To Be…

The moment he came out from the tuition centre.

Mum : How was it?
Boy : Ok lah, I asked a lot of questions.
Mum : Oh really? What kind of questions? Not stupid questions I hope!
Boy : Of course not! In fact I answered most of the questions too! I was the only one who talked (voluntarily) in class, the rest just kept quiet.
Mum : oookay…

I was a timid girl….ok let me rephrase….I used to be a timid girl. I dont remember voluntarily asking a question or put up a hand in class when the teacher asked to even if I knew the answer. That is why I get agitated whenever the boy is exposed to new environment. Surprisingly he is way more confident than me. Also more knowledgeable than I was at his age. Alhamdullilah.

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Musa (Moses)) said:

“O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). And make this matter easy for me. Make me eloquent of speech. So that they may understand my speech”

Family Vacay in KL.

So last weekend was our vacay trip to KL with both our parents plus an aunt. Sadly my brother couldn’t make it due to work commitments.

I was determined to cover KL as much as possible and mentally drafted an itinerary but in the end we go with the flow.

Anyways, these are some of the pictures I took. Unfortunately, I did not take much of them, were to engrossed to ‘go with the flow’

Enjoy! I am sure you guys had more interesting ones.

We booked 3 deluxe rooms at Sunway Putra Hotel (formerly known The Legend Hotel) during our 3days2nites stay but were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to 3 Club Rooms since its our first time there.  The room is huge plus the toilet is well-equipped with His & Hers Sink, a bathtub and a shower.
Traffic is a killer in KL but we find commuting by train is a breeze now that we know better.  There’s a very hilarious moment when sis and I were all getting the token thingy, in the background, I kept hearing all the makciks asking “BERAPA?! BERAPA?!” (translated “HOW MUCH?! HOW MUCH?!) all ready with their coin purses ready to pounce at the machine making sure she’ll be the first one to insert the coins in. Its too comical when it happened!  Sis and I were laughing afterwards thinking about it but at that moment we were like in our hearts saying “hey wait lah, how would we even know the amount?! afterall its our first time remember?!”  Anyways, we love the train, its easier to go anywhere now that we are experts! *macam paham*
This is how the “Expert” looks like! Hehehehe…
Masjid India…its a must when you’re in KL but NOT FOR ME! I don’t fancy it at all! Too many scarfs/baju kurungs and whatnots!
The clouds are simply gorgeous out there.
United Buddy Bear….to promote peace.
I LOVE PETALING STREET!
We got lost in the sea of people/stalls!  Even the hubby said that its the highlight of the trip for him!
What an experience!
The Makcik-Makciks definitely enjoyed themselves too! Heard they are planning to go again! Ish! Ish! Ish!

When Mat meet Minah

Nong nong time ago, there’s a girl and her girlfriends go bbq at East Coast! Yah budak mentels dulu suker nah gi overnite lah aper lah. Suddenly!, (wah drama sey) one of her girlfriend’s boyfriend’s friend who is a boy oso join the bbq. The girl aksyen abit arh (sell expensive) but still smile abit to her girlfriend’s boyfriend’s friend who is a boy (oklah let’s call him ‘Mat’ but he is not a typical Mat lah k). Then suddenly!, (alamak drama again) this Mat dissappear while the girl bbq-ing. The girl (oklah call her Minah lah), so Minah did not hear anything about the Mat. (thinks this Mat oso sell expensive arh) Minah kinda dissappointed. Actually Minah like that Mat.

So after maybe a few weeks, while Minah lepak-ing at Minah’s girlfriend, suddenly Minah aksyen aksyen ask her girlfriend about that Mat. Cut the long story short, Minah’s girlfriend call her boyfriend to ask about the Mat which happen to be hanging out with him. Minah so happy to be able to chat with him for a while. (like so desperate hor this Minah)

The amazing part of this story is when Minah ask a very typical question to Mat (seriously its Minah’s obsession to know everybody’s birthdate!)

Guess what the Mat answered?!

1-8-J-U-N-E !!!!

So the rest is history ;D

Its been 17 years now that we’ve known each other, there’s ups and downs of course, why wouldnt it be right? Its a bless to be able to celebrate your day together and this year is the same. Perhaps age is catching up so the enthusiasm to celebrate is not much as when you were 20 😉

Sometimes, just a quiet time together is good enough, feeling comfortable wx each other without uttering a word is super bliss! Hehehe

Nevertheless, he always, always without fail will buy flowers for me every year! Simple pleasures 🙂

As for me, I run out of ideas what to give him every year so I think I will be following my mum’s footsteps, which is to get the basic essentials like briefs and socks! Hahaha

Oh since no one bought us any cake today, we bought it ourselves lor! Yum! Hahaha!

Once again, we would like to thank for all your well wishes, till the next celebration, Insyaallah! 😉

Life has to go on….

We’ve been the best of health all these years Alhamdullilah, too much going-ons of late recently though. Whatever that is coming our way, we have to have an open heart and redha. Thank you Allah for these ‘special’ arrangement you’ve set our life to be. We’ll take it in our stride to be thankful to you without fail, Insyaallah.

May Allah bless your souls my dear kitties 😦

Love all your might and treasure what you have right now before they were returned back to the Rightful One.

F.A.D.E.L.I.Q

I remember it clearly the day he was born 10 years ago.

It was supposedly be my 2nd last routine check-up before my delivery date/week, as the gynae checked for the position of the baby’s head, she had that ‘???’ look on her face.  I was not bothered at first till she called the staff nurse and started muttering medical terms to each other. She finally shift her attention to me and asked  –

Gyn : Do you feel any contraction?

Me : When? Now? Er…No (first timer..how the h*ll would I know how it feels like right?)

Gyn: Is there any discharge? (down there)

Me : Er…No

Gyn : Ok I think we should bring you to the labour ward now!

Me : WHAT?? ………………………….(long pause)

Me : Why?

Gyn : Air tuban you dah pecah.

Me : Huh? What’s air tuban???? (obviously my Malay sucks! Not that my English is any better)

Gyn : Your waterbag burst….there’s not much liquid in there to hold the baby.

Me : ………………………………………………………….. (longest pause ever!)

Me (in my heart) : What?! What?! What?! Are you sure….nooooo its not time yet….I am not ready…the baby is not ready…..my hubby not here! How? How? How?

Suspense or what….Okay…to keep the story short (I can really be long-winded sometimes), 6 hours later, Mohamad Fadeliq bin Roslee is born to the world.

Ever since you were born, you’ve been a joy to our world (your dad and mine), your laughter, your cries, your screams and tantrums but honestly you are a good boy, you are such a well-behaved one even from when the time you were a baby. I remember that you do not cry when the nurse gave you the jab.  You don’t cry much when you know it’s your feeding time.  You smile when you woke up in the morning….such bliss (perhaps you did cry abit lah). You are such a smiley and giggly baby.  Whenever you get sick, I am so worried for you and pray that you recover quickly even till today.

Words fail me whenever I want to express how deep our love to you, baby.  Yes, in our eyes, you are still our baby.  Today, as you celebrate your 10th birthday, all we hope and pray for is for your good well-being, a good son to us, a wonderful grandson to your grandparents and a great friend to your peers.  Insyallah. Amin. Likewise, we hope we’ve been a good or even a great parent to you too.

I’ve been wanting to show to the world how life with you all these years like….these are some of the millions of memories captured which are dear to our heart.  We love you Baby!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING!

Amin.

CHR Reunion

I have no excuse not to blog about this, it’s a long time coming. Can’t even remember when was the last time I blog about something worth reading. (oh wait I should just look up the archives)

So it all started with me being the ‘itchy backside’ wanting to organize a reunion. I wanted just a small gathering between us old schoolmates because to even think of organizing a big one is a nightmare I know with all the place, time, sponsors and whatnot.

Thanks to FB, I manage to find some long lost schoolmates, so it all begin with just a small hello to all the girls I was once close with suggesting a reunion. Honestly, I really thought that it won’t happen understanding then that we are all pretty occupied with families and other prior engagements but surprisingly I received overwhelming responses.  Immediately we started to work on looking for venues and the time that we all can agree on. Apparently Carousel, the ever popular halal-certified buffet spread @ Park Royal seem to be the hot favourite , but of course! 😛 and 5th of December 2009 is the right time for all of us, it being the school holiday month perfect timing for teachers eh *wink* (proud to announce we got 2 dedicated teachers among our friends) and of course wonderfull SAHMs, WMs too!

So after all these years being apart (feeling old now), the day finally came for us to reminisce those innocent yet feeling abit juvenile-ish days.

It is so great to catch up with the girls and discovered how we’ve grown so much all these years, NOT! lol…nothing changed it seem or at least on character-wise (body proportion not included) although some maintained 🙂

What is a reunion without photo-taking sessions you say? Well enjoy these  and please no puking allowed! 😛

Whois : Armuli, Nooryati, Yuhana, Rozita, Azizah, Kassimah, Me (Yati) & Suriana

I think the front desk lady regretted taking 8 snaps of the same pose! LOL

There’s so much fun and laughter last night. Gerls, we should do this again and this time hope to reunite with more old friends!

Thank you for the memories!

IS HEAVEN IN THE YELLOW PAGES?

goodbye

Mommy went to Heaven,
but I need her here today,
My tummy hurts and I fell down,
I need her right away.
Operator can you tell me
how to find her in this book?

Is heaven in the yellow part,
I don’t know where to look.
I think my daddy needs her too,
at night I hear him cry.
I hear him call her name sometimes,
but I really don’t know why.

Maybe if I call her,
she will hurry home to me.
Is Heaven very far away,
is it across the sea?
She’s been gone a long, long time
she needs to come home now!
I really need to reach her,
but I simply don’t know how.
Help me find the number please,
is it listed under “Heaven”?
I can’t read these big, big words,
I am only seven.
I’m sorry operator,
I didn’t mean to make you cry,
Is your tummy hurting too,
or is there something in your eye?

If I call my mosque maybe they will know.
Mommy said when we need help,
that’s where we should go.
I found the number to my mosque
tacked up on the wall.
Thank you operator,
I’ll give them a call
